Karma Sushi Bar Grill
Karma Sushi Bar and Grill came and captured the imagination of American public in the May, 2006. It is locally owned and based on key values of innovation and existence. When it was set up, there was already an established view of Japanese Sushi even before 2006. Karma Sushi Bar and Grill has even been voted as Flagstaff’s best Sushi year after year. The Bar Grill is widely known. It is located in downtown Flagstaff on Route 66.
I decided to visit this restaurant because of its reputation for having tasty Japanese food that people would not find anywhere else. I have loved Japanese food since I was young and all my life I have lived eating and enjoying Japanese foods. The food is flavorful and exotic. I therefore went to the restaurant with high expectations and will be reviewing it based on service, atmosphere, taste and cost. Though it was my first time visiting Karma Sushi, I had high expectations of being treated well and nicely.
On Tuesday, January 23rd, 2018, I decided to have a taste of Karma Sushi Bar Grill and establish the basis of its best reputation and popularity. When I stepped in, I could feel the difference between it and other restaurants that I had visited in America. Karma made a first good impression because the temperature was cool and everything was put together nicely. People were seated around well decorated tables and the waiters were walking from one table to another to ensure that everyone received their placed order just as they requested. I could see the bright lighting of the place and display lights in the Bar Grill which made the restaurant awesome and more attractive. The wall had been painted with bright and colorful colors that made the place look bright. From the door, there was a good reception in which I was welcomed into the restaurant warmly by a well-dressed lady who wore a smile that made me feel like I was at home. Because I wasn’t sure of what I was supposed to do considering it was my first time at Karma, I followed the attendant to where she had directed me to sit.
After I sat down, I began looking at the menu. On the menu, they had drinks like Honey Orange Sour, Blackberry Ginger Lemonade, Cucumber Crush, Karma Mai Tai, Hibiscus Lemonade and Ancho-Rita among others. Looking at the price too, the prices of the foods as per the menu were fairly priced or let me say quite moderate unlike other restaurants like Sakura which is slightly expensive. Many restaurants that offer good services are often expensive, this results from the services they offer and food quality that they offer. This was contrary to Karma Sushi Bar Grill. Even though it gives high quality services and tasty foods, its prices are favorable and affordable.
From the list, I ordered a Sushi and in no time, I was served my order. The food was steaming hot, very appetizing, tasty and well-prepared. I ate slowly as I looked around the restaurant to get the full glimpse of the whole place. All my life I have loved Japanese food. This is because of how they are prepare, package and present their dishes. Japanese food is mostly natural and healthy. I ordered two sushi signatures, the Firecracker and Volcano. Both sushi were cut and wrapped well and were presented very decoratively. The firecracker had sushi stacked in a line. They consist of shrimp, crab, cucumber, avocado, topped with spicy crab, tempura crunchy, and a spicy sauce. The Volcano had sushi stacked in the shape of a circle. They consist of scallops, crab over California roll with spicy mayo and sweet sauce. The sushi also comes with wasabi, which is a spice green paste, vinigarized ginger slices, and soy sauce.
In Karma, everything was being done in an organized and systematic manner. There was cool music playing that made the atmosphere more enjoyable and relaxed. The attenders were polite and courteous. They talked to people in a respectful and joyful manner, it’s like they knew what people wanted even before they ask for it. People of different ages meet at this place especially for those who want a quieter place to dine. I can say that, the Bar Grill was really welcoming. Everyone in Karma were well dressed and looked like they had maybe come from work and want to experience fine dining.
After I finished my food, the waitress came, took my bill and I paid using card. Using a card is important to me because some restaurants only accept cash. The waitress requested for my bill which had been brought earlier in a polite manner just like the same politeness that she had approached me when she led me to a place to sit when I entered Karma. The customer services at the Karma Sushi Grill are top-notch and the employees have the interest of their clients at heart. They are determined, focused and ready to offer the best to all their clients, both to new and regular customers. The customers in return also treat the employees in a manner that makes them feel comfortable during their work. When a waitress makes a mistake like delayed service or an incorrect order, the customers still treat them with a respectful manner.
In conclusion, Karma Sushi Bar Grill is a high-end restaurant with tasty food. The restaurant provides amazing services and I have been shown the reason why the restaurant has such a good reputation. The attentive service, enjoyable atmosphere, quality taste and affordable all contributed to my experience at Karma Sushi. This is a place that I will continue to go to and I will always recommend dining here to my friends and colleagues.
