1-2 Short Paper: Juvenile vs. Adult Court
JUS 331 Juvenile vs. Adult Court Short Paper Guidelines and Rubric A key step to understanding the role of juvenile justice is to see how it differs from the systems used for adults. The juvenile and adult justice systems can vary between states. Having insight into your state’s protections will provide you with a strong foundation for the rest of the course material. In your short paper, specifically address the following critical elements:
Identify and explain the juvenile protections offered in your state: What juvenile protections are in place for your state? Summarize and describe the main details of your state’s juvenile protections.
Identify and explain the adult protections offered in your state: What adult protections are in place for your state? Summarize and describe the main details of your state’s adult protections.
Compare and contrast the protections offered for juveniles and adults in your state: How are juvenile protections different from adult protections in your state? What similarities do your state’s juvenile and adult protections share?
