Select one of the following situations and write a short appeal (1-2 paragraphs; you can use bullets as well) based on either: ethos, logos, pathos, or a combination of all three. Note advantages and disadvantages of the appeal you select. (see sample on Wk 2)

1. An announcement encouraging students to avoid binge drinking

2. A school board’s letter urging parents to choose in class learning for their children during Covid-19

3. A public service announcement reminding people to vote

4. A scientist’s statement to the Congress urging a federal mandate for mask-wearing during Covid -19

5. An environmental group’s letter requesting that the city cease using lawn chemicals in public parks
