Learning Outcome:

CLO1: Demonstrate an understanding of the relevance of ethical approaches in field of information technology CLO2: Describe the social responsibilities with reference to standard IT code of ethics [10 Marks]

1. Overview

Students are required to form a team maximum of 4 members and demonstrate

relevance of the different ethical aspects related and practiced in the field of

Information technology. Students have to address and describe the present social

responsibilities in line with the national and international standards of the code of

ethics.

Students should address the following topics:

A. Ethics for the IT workers

B. Ethics for the IT and users

C. Internet cyber crimes

D. Privacy issues

E. Intellectual property issues

Students may discuss their point of view in the above listed issues and include the

Information Technology ethical code of conduct at their work places.

2. Assessment

Assignment will be assessed based on the following criteria:

A. Consistency and clarity

B. Clear write-ups with the topics listed

C. National and International standards of IT ethics
