Hi, my name is Kathy Coble. I am from North Carolina, and I am a mother of two boys and four grandchildren. I am almost done with my associates degree in Early Childhood Education. This is my final class before I graduate. I have worked in childcare for over twenty years, and I am passionate about children and working with their young minds. I love what I do as a childcare professional. 

I am taking this class to help children understand and learn the English Language. What I know about English Language learners is that it is sometimes harder for them to learn it and hard for them to understand it. It's probably going to hard to teach it to someone who has never learned it before. I really do not know much about second language acquisition; I just know that it is hard to learn a second language over your first language that you are more used to. I hope to learn how to help children learn to speak English better when they are having a hard time understanding it or speaking it. I want to make learning the English language easier for them so they can better grasp it.
