Introduction

Every warm family needs a lot of hard work and running in to make the family better.

This is the case with Esch's family, where everyone is a significant presence. After reading

Jesmyn Ward's "Salvage the Bones," this book describes a family's life in Mississippi town

before and 12 days after the hurricane. Everyone is an integral part of making the family

better. This article is about the story of the Esch family, from the story of Esch, his three

brothers Randall, Skeetah, Junior and her father preparing for the hurricane and the interlude.

In the middle of the need for warm and touching things, but also revealed in the life of

helpless and aggrieved. Children who lack maternal love also show their yearning for their

mothers in their lives. A detailed description of the environment, careless family chores

Esch and his three brothers are full of nostalgia for their mother. Many details of life

can be reflected in the memories of the mother. Their mother died of dystocia after giving

birth to junior, and the whole family felt incredible and sad. Their father also lost his wife and

began drinking all day long. There is also a lack of care for children. But the little things in

their lives still cannot lack the shadow of their mother. Mother still has a significant influence

on them. "I imagine Mama walking in front of me, turning to smile or whistle at me to get me

to walk faster, her teeth white in the gloom. But still, it is work, and I have to pull myself

back and concentrate to find anything to eat." （pg21）They always think of their mother in

the details of life. "But the chicken wouldn't ever make no noise. And then she would put her

hand over the bird's face like she was hiding it from seeing something, and then she would

grab and twist. Break the neck. Slice the head off on the stump." （pg44) In all kinds of plots

like this, the memories and influences that mother once brought to them will appear. The

memory of the mother runs through the whole composition. The place where dogs are born in

China is the same as where their mothers have puppies. China'sWhen she wants to protect her

children, China's behavior is also suitable for their mother to protect them. Their mother lost

her life because she gave birth to a little princess, and she is considered the last flower to be

born. Their mother is an essential clue in the article, which also makes the article better

express their thoughts, including thoughts and guilt.
