Part 2: Answers & Reflection
Question 1: ) Who are our biggest competitors?
· My answer: The biggest competitors to Fred Meyers are Walmart, Safeway and yokes fresh market. Fred Meyers has so much completion because of all the things that they sell. If I included all the competition to Fred Meyer the list would be longer than I could possibly imagine.
· Reflection: Fred Meyers is a large company that has a lot of products, this means that it has a large amount of companies in direct competition.
Question 2: Describe a difficult situation with a customer service representative you have had in the past. Thinking of the representative, what are some suggestions to improve the experience on
Their part? And now the same for you; what are some things you could've done differently to
Improve the outcome?
· My answer: As a customer I have had a few problematic situations with customer representatives. As a customer is the assumption that I am always right and I think this is where most of my problems came from, I always felt that whenever a worker would not help me that it was their fault and that they should have done anything to help me. Once I seen a price tag and it didn’t ring up right so I made the cashier aware of that they seemed to not help right away and this made me feel unappreciated, and went away with a bad taste in my mouth. I know that I could have been more patient and understanding, possibly they were stressed I didn’t and couldn’t know.
· Reflection: I think that it is important to try and be understanding as a customer representative and make sure I am polite and helpful when I can.
Question 3: If your personality was a flavor of ice cream, what would it be and why?
· My answer: If I were an ice cream flavor I think that I would be Mint chip. I think that I have a refreshing and warm personality with a cold exterior. I think that at the surface I am a bit hard to get to know but the deeper you get to k ow me the more I warm up.
· Reflection: I think that this question is difficult to answer with so many ice cream flavors that could be a choice, but mint chip is concise and I think is a good choice.
