it was during the holidays a customerwas visiting family friends in town. patient was type 1 diabetes he left his home without his insulin. he comes to pharmacy requesting prescription to be transeferred from his local pharmacy. upon transfer he has no refills, hard to get hold of his md, finally prescription is received, but medicare was a challenge due to prior authorization being expired. get all forms sent to md for autorization to get started before the end of the day.multiples calls were made medicare to get the insulin for the patient. finally got the insulin to run through medicare, this was my duty as i took the oath when i graduated ,then an honor

reminder phone calls to pick up scripts, set them up for 90 day scripts, medication therapy management, immunize all 65 and older eg shingrix, pnuemonia, prevnar , flu shots,
keeping calm, taking responsible risks and tasks, finding humour, thinking and communicating with clarity,gathering data, thinking interdependently.
being a retail pharamcist, multi tasking, being able to cope the pressure, speed , accuracy, and challenges to face each day.
got an e-rx from pediatricain office for a 5 year old. upon revewing the script the anbiotic dose seemed high based on the childs age, and weight, drug data base said it was out the norms, called the office, indeed it was miscalculated and child got correct dose .
