International Law Paper: Human Trafficking and the International Response A chronic problem that affects many nations, governments, and international institutions is a transnational crime. Transnational crime is coordinated and carefully designed, which can lead to harmful exploitations. In addition, gaps in legislation and governmental structures among countries can help perpetrators avoid prosecution, making it difficult to combat and deter transnational crime. This research paper aims to address one form of transnational crime: trafficking of human beings and to explain the actions of the United States against these forms of transnational organized crime.
