Hesham,

Your project is NOT clear. Your project appears to be the development of a new business that will purchase milk from dairy farmers (in a selected geographical area), provide storage, and sell the mild to wholesalers. In addition to selling bulk, the project will develop a new brand for selling a portion of the milk retail.

Your WBS was helpful in developing an understanding of your project.

Your highest level structure is the Cooperative Mild Collecting Center. It is not clear if this is an existing organization or the organization will be developed as a result or deliverable of the project. Is this the chartering organization/ the organization that will charter the project?

You need to clearly define the project sponsor.

You identify design documents as an activity. This needs more definition. Is this the design for the Collection Center? Buildings and equipment? Land? How many buildings, what size, what kind of equipment, how much equipment? Do you need administrative buildings? Do you need transportation trucks?

It appears the project will require one or more partnerships. Partnerships with whom and for what purpose? Are these the milk producers to assure the Cooperative Milk Collection Center will have sufficient raw materials (milk)?

Funding for the project? Will the funds be borrowed? Is the project looking for investors? This needs more explanation.

You identify Sam Smith and Gorge Stuard. Are these employees of the CMCC? What role, if any, do they have on the project? Are they part of the project team and report to the project manager?

Work execution:

You have Michel Saad as project manager? Is Mr. Saad an employee of CMCC or a contract employee? Is he also the project manager for the entire project? Does the procurement manager report to the project manager?

Operation phase: (a project phase is NOT a WBS work package)

Commissions and training is typically part of a new startup project. You have added two more people. Are these going to be employees of the new organization? YOu have Gorge Stuard responsible for production and distribution?

The WBS refers to the deliverable. What will the work deliver? The activities are the work (verb Noun format) for example: Design buildings, construct building. Each of these would be broken down into smaller units. For example: Design buildings: Design Administrative Building, Design Collection Area/ Building, Design Milk Processing Area, Design Transportation Support Area, etc.

The development of a new brand is not addressed in your WBS? Will the project develop the supply chain to new customers? Developing a new brand is a project by itself.

Your SIA is well developed. You will need to develop clarity on your project to more clearly develop the next parts of your project management plan.

Let me know if you have questions.

Russ
