Emergency kit assembly
Having an emergency kit to hand is one important way you can reduce your personal vulnerability to natural disasters, such as earthquakes (which is of high importance for all living here in Victoria).
There are two parts to this assignment.
Research what should go into an emergency kit, and where you should place it.
Assemble your own emergency kit.
To complete the assignment, you should upload two files to Brightspace.
A detailed list of what is in your emergency kit.
A photograph of yourself with your kit laid out in front of you.
The deadline for the assignment is December 3 but it can be completed early.
This assignment is worth 10% of the final grade, late submissions will lose 20% of the allocated marks each day past the deadline.

Some good places to start your research are listed below (note: these are all Canadian websites. There are equally good US websites you could visit). Note that while all sources should agree on several basic items for your kit, some may include items that are missing elsewhere. It is up to you how comprehensive you want your kit to be, but the basic items should be included.
