Topic: Prevention of pressure Ulcer in critically ill patients.

To use the matrix, label each Source column with an author name or brief title.  Use the area on the left to note the key points you identify in your reading.  As you read each source, make notes in the appropriate Source column whenever you come across additional information that relates to each of the main ideas.  When you have completed the chart, review your notes to identify common themes, areas of disagreement, or gaps in the literature.

Once you have completed the matrix, you will need to write a narrative of your findings in an APA formatted paper. Feel free to refer to the  Sample Student APA  paper found in the Writing Resources section of APA and Writing resources section the classroom.

  Your final paper should be no more than 3 pages, not including the title page and references.

 Below is the outline for the paper

 Introduction

      State the topic you selected and why

Literature search

     Identify the databases that you searched and the keywords you used for your search

     Write a narrative of the findings from the matrix that you created

Application to Nursing Practice

            Describe how these findings can be applied to your current area of practice

Conclusion

Provide a summary of the issue, findings, and application that was presented in the paper.

Be sure to write this paper in the 7th ed APA style, including a cover sheet and reference page citing the sources that you found.
