Question 4:

Panchero’s restaurant has two items on their menu: Fajitas and Quesadillas. The serving process is as following: customers form two lines to order the food (ORDER), wait for the food to be packaged (PACKAGE), make payment (PAY), and fill their drinks and take fork and napkins (FILL). Since customers don’t have choice of meat and vegetable when they order Quesadillas, the PACKAGE stage for Quesadillas is shorter than for Fajitas.

The restaurant serves dinner from 6 to 9 pm. From 6 to 8 pm, 60 customers per hour order Fajitas and 40 customers per hour order Quesadillas. From 8 to 9 pm, 40 order Fajitas and 30 order Quesadillas. The processing rates are specified in the process flow diagram:

Question 6: Safety regulations require that the time between airplane takeoffs (on the same runway) will be at least 3 minutes. How many planes are either on the runway or waiting to take off?

a. Identify the critical path by forward and backward paths. For the tasks that are not on the critical path, identify their slacks.

b. At the end of 8th day, assume the following progress of the project:

a. Tasks A, B, D are 100% completed, and the actual costs spent for them are $200, $500 and $450, respectively.

b. Task C is 80% completed, and already cost $100

c. Task E is 66.67% completed, and already cost $100

d. Task F is not started yet, and didn’t cost anything either.

Evaluate the progress of the project by filling the following blanks (both in the table and in the sentence below the table):
