The energy and nutrients needed for the running of our bodies are derived from the food we eat. It is therefore imperative to eat food that have all the nutrients needed by the body.

What does healthy eating involve
Food with most of the nutrients needed by the body is known as a balanced diet. Regularly eating a balanced diet can be a great benefit to the body. Most importantly, a balanced diet will help the body fight of diseases incase of an illness.

Balance diet comprises of carbohydrates, proteins and fruits and vegetables. Nuts and legumes are also important. Drinking a lot of water helps the body in digestion and temperature regulation.

Breakfast is the most important meal of the day. It gives one the energy required to carry out tasks in the course of the day. Regular exercise complements healthy eating habits. Keeping fit helps in burning excess calories from the body.

Plant proteins. Avoid animal proteins.
Fruits are vital
Drink a lot of water. At least 8 glasses a day

A third of your meals should be made up of vegetables. Vegetables have most of the rare nutrients. Fiber in vegetables aids in digestion and bowel movement.

Processed sugar and not healthy and can lead to illnesses such as diabetes. Red meats are rich in acids contribute to diseases such as cancer and gout. Drugs and alcohol affects the liver as it tries to get rid of the toxins.
