Hello class,

With so much diversity on the workplace sometimes it can get difficult understanding each other out, specially when the information is coming from our superiors. Change management if not done organized and structure, can have a negative feedback on the team. However, the following are some of the examples that leaders can implement in order to maintain a healthy stress environment.

In must of the work areas the employee are not that important, specially in work areas where the high income is being received.  In such type of workforce usually the employer, managers, and leaders; must likely will focus on the gains received rather than the quality of service and employee development.  A good change management will prioritize it's people first. Often employees will address misunderstandings or doubts regarding the job or given assignments, therefore, leaders can facilitates changes by engaging employees in the transition of the change. Leaders and management must create a desire in the employees that will make the change happen.

Another point is to implement a change management model in the workforce that is accessible and that employees can understand and refer to it if necessary. It is important to establish a plan when trying to execute changes, not only for the own convenience of the boss, managers, and leaders; but for the workforce it self; to establish the projection of changes and it benefits.

Most importantly, CONSISTENCY! Change management plans does not happen over time. Therefore it is not only important to have a plan to refer to but also leaders and employe that will reinforce the communication when it seems that things are no going as suppose to. Leaders must be empathic and have the will to communicate in the best way possible to ensure the employees are motivated and feel not like the are being "called over", but rather being teach the new changes.

Hello Class & Professor,

Stress can be defined as “a state of mental tension and worry caused by problems in your life, work, etc.; something that causes strong feelings of worry or anxiety” (Merriam-Webster Dictionary). There are many factors in the work environment that cause stress and strain. It's important that management creates ways to eliminate stress but empower change for the greater good of the team entirely. Providing resources to employees such as mental health services or training seminars on how to deal with stressors on the workforce. It's important that management remembers that when change is implemented slowly, this is the opportunity for management to educate but also have the proper effective management throughout the times of uncertainty. Cultivating a workplace that is diverse and a pleasant environment helps all employees feel welcomed regardless of their background. What is strongly advised is coaching and counseling for employees, because this can be very beneficial long-term and they can reuse these tools later in life situations.

Management should have specific programs to help ensure that stress is eliminated, by having outlet programs such as mental health services or fitness services. This can be a positive outlet for employees to balance their personal issues and work related issues and concerns. Stress reduction is highly important for the benefit of having productive and energetic employees. Examples are having a group yoga or meditation group, telling funny jokes because laughter is good for the soul, and connecting with new people and discussing life and better ways to empower others.

Have a good week everyone,
