Information about the company and the needs regarding the training issue
Crowe Global also known as Crowe is a multinational professional services Network Company located in New York City, United States. Crowe was founded in 1915 by Fred P. Crowe Sr. Ernest and Edmund Horwath. The company serves the worldwide market and it is the eighth largest accounting network globally. Crowe has more than 220 firms with more than 42,000 employees in 130 nations. It provides a wide range of services including audit, tax, consulting, financial advisory, and enterprise risks.
Crowe Global aims at being at the top position globally, therefore training is essentials to improve performance. The importance of a training program’s goals dictates the context of the needs assessment, the types of questions to ask, and the process to follow in collecting the information. Content refers to the subjects the design team needs to learn about. The company needs to address the unsatisfactory performance to increase its overall performance and cover a wide range of clients or companies within the US (Stanley Ross, 2019). Besides, it needs to conduct training to strengthen its competitive position in the industry. Crowe also needs to address the performance to attract potential stakeholders and investors.
Individuals or groups who will receive the training
The unsatisfactory performance is mainly experienced in the audit section. The group that will receive the training is the fresh graduates who were recruited by the company at the beginning of the year in the auditing department. These individuals work in the main office/ headquarter and work with clients around the area. The graduates occupy the position of audit assistance and perform tasks like testing internal control of the clients, preparation and analysis of financial records, and assessing finance and budget reports.
Identification of the training issue
The understanding and application of the audit concept are essential for correct auditing. One of the main objective of Crowe is to be the best professional service network in the world through revenue, profit, and a wide client base. The company recruited new employees at the beginning of the year who were mainly fresh graduates. Since the recruitment period, they have been allocated specific auditing duties and responsibilities, however, the main issue is unsatisfactory performance.
These fresh employees' unsatisfactory performance is based on various aspects. They fail to meet the company's monthly target on the number of clients to serve. The majority serve a maximum of half of the expected performance which is too low for the organization. Besides, they consume a lot of time on a single job contributing to reduced performance. The mistakes and errors are also too much, influencing the department to work on every task assigned to them more than twice. There is a lot of complaints from the senior auditors in regards to the performance of these fresh graduates that must be addressed.
How the questionnaire will be utilized
The questionnaire will be used by the organization to determine the number or the proportion of the fresh graduates who face challenges in auditing. These will help in relating the unsatisfactory performance to the challenges faced, to determine the degree of effort to put during training. The questionnaire will also be used by the organization to identify the areas or the scope the training should focus on; that is the top ten areas and the areas that the training should allocate more time on; the top five areas. Besides, it will assist in providing the approximate time needed for the training and other resources that may be required. The questionnaire will also be used to evaluate and analyze the performance of employees after the finalization of training to determine any improvement.
