Hi~ Everyone，my name is XXX，I came from China, and my topic for today is school and subway station should have security check. Two month ago, my parents come to see me from my hometown, and I took them to Manhattan. We took the 7 train, when the train gets 74 street. One guy get on the train, when the door was closed, the guy start to yell to everyone on the train, and even tried to beat someone for no reasons. My parents and I never had this experience before, so we all feel scared. So we just get off the train on the next station and transfer to other train to go to Manhattan. So think about it, if that day the guy has a gun or some other weapon on the train, all passengers in that coach will get hurt even some of passengers will died. Moreover, the New York police said there have been 68 reported hate crime so far in 2019 that is up more than 50 percent from the 44 reported at this point in 2018.

Similarly, school has the same situation. There were at least 506 incident of gunfire on school ground since 2013.It made 197 deaths and 386 injures. In 2019, there were at least 99 incident of gunfire in the school. Almost twice one week. So how did it occur like this? Because there no machine or even no one to check whether the person bring dangerous items or not. And I think the subway station and school is the easy target for the people who want to revenge on society or tried to hurt others. It is so easy to bring a weapon to take the subway or go to school.

According to this situation, here I have three proposals to solve this problem. First, set up the security facilities to every subway station and every school, not only for person but also for the bag check.

Second, hire more security guard or police to work in the school or patrol in the subway station.

Third, for the safety of subway station, it also can set up the safety facilities to every subway station. Such as set up the Platform Screen Doors. Because we all heard about the news about someone pushed the unsuspecting man to his death onto subway track.

For my conclusion, I think that our government should try the best to make the subway station and school be safe. Because these two places are where we go every day.
