Cover Letter for GWAR Portfolio

I was so confident from day one that my writing will improve in this course. I am very confident that my writing has improve because of Dr. Qudrat instructions and assessments. I am submitting five revised essays in addition to my in class timed final exam essay to show my improvement. Learning and improving is limitless, so I am very confident that I can keep improving in the future. I am hoping that my works in this portfolio could give me a passing grade for the WPE requirement, so I can continue my education as an engineer.

The first document is the mid-term for this course and it was about assessing an engineer who have a principled dilemma. In this I examine how gather my information in short time and write all the requirement in specific period of time. I learn how to write letter and how to organize it.

The second assignment I am submitting discusses the differences between data and information. In this assignment, I particularly examine the key different between data and information. This essay help to use another type of essays which is compare and contrast. It is very beneficial method that would help me in the future.

My third paper is called “Strategies of Dealing with Stage Fright”, but it is specifically about the approach that might help people to get rid of their fear in many cases such as, public speaking .This essay help me learn new information and how to cite outside sources properly. Some of the stuff I mention can be used for class presentations which I think will defiantly help me in my future.

Fourth, I am submitting a paper called “Dover Chemical Corporation” that explores a chemical company and many information about it. In this final assignment I discuss what social media platform does this company use. I realized in working on this paper that companies have different ways to present themselves. I learn so many information about a company that hire people with my major.

Lastly, I am presenting an essay entitled “lead in CSULB water” that examines a recent issue in the collage. It was about the water fountain with lead in it and the possibility that it could affect student’s heath. I learned how to write a memo. It was the first time for me writing this kind of paper.

Generally, I believe that my writing has improved in several areas including my brainstorming in short time. I focused on some areas that have been problematic in the past such as grammar. I am confident that my work has risen to the point where I am able to clearly explicate my thoughts in a cogent manner.

I have made a great deal of effort to pass the GWAR as is evidenced by my taking ALI-145, ALI 150 and African study 100.classes, attending the Writer’s Resource Lab seeking for help and ways to improve my writing. I am hoping that this portfolio would support what I have achieved so far.
