Parts of an Annotated Bibliography Entry
The structure of a typical annotation entry consists of four major parts:
1. *A citation of the text in the appropriate citation style
2. *A summary of the text’s argument and major evidence
3. *A justification of the text’s credibility and/or appropriateness
4. *A description of how the text will be used in your project
Follow the format of the SAMPLE Annotated Bibliography.
MLA Format

Collegiate Formal Writing Conventions

· Omit pronouns (you/your; I, my, we, our)
· Omit slang, cliché, jargon
· Objective voice

· Proofread to eliminate errors
· Less than three (3) errors [grammar, spelling, typing, format, etc.]
