Annotated bibliography on Reparations for Slavery

Step 1

 1. Complete MLA formatted  Works Cited entries for  6 credible academic sources.

 

Step 2

2. After each of the Works Cited entries, compose an  annotation, which includes *a summary, *a justification, and *a description a 4-6 sentences minimum summary and analysis in  your own words, which includes  1-2 sentences minimum, describing how you will use this source in your paper.

**DO NOT INCLUDE QUOTATIONS IN THE ANNOTATIONS.

Parts of an Annotated Bibliography Entry

The structure of a typical annotation entry consists of  four major parts:

1. *A citation of the text in the appropriate citation style

2. *A summary of the text’s argument and major evidence

3. *A justification of the text’s credibility and/or appropriateness

4. *A description of how the text will be used in your project

Follow the format of the SAMPLE Annotated Bibliography. 

MLA Format

· Twelve (12) font Arial, Arial Narrow, Times New Roman

· Heading – page 1

· Page Headers and page numbers on subsequent pages

Collegiate Formal Writing Conventions

·

· Standard Edited American English (SEAE)

· Omit pronouns (you/your; I, my, we, our)

· Omit slang, cliché, jargon

· Objective voice

· Omit contractions

· Omit questions

· Proofread to eliminate errors

· Less than three (3) errors [grammar, spelling, typing, format, etc.]
