Group Process
As a group, we have a number of both strengths and weaknesses when it comes to dealing with the different processes that occur in our group. To begin with, our main stronghold comprises the aspect of coordination. We as a group, we are in a position of breaking down the different tasks and distribute them in accordance with the group members' skills and competence. This mainly helps in ensuring that we conduct thorough research highlighting different essential areas on our subject matter. Our group comprises different group members who have various skills, attributes and competence in areas; therefore, no single area of research is left an attended to. In the field of statistical analysis, there are people who are in charge of that part. There are others who have been assigned the duty of developing the scope of the study, when all this is brought together, it is each for us to undertake the group process (Toseland & Rivas, 2017). My group members are both creative and innovative in that they come up with new ideas on how to approach the chosen topic of discussion. The ideas and suggestions help us in creating a platform of our project whereby we can build from step by step. We as a group, we are very hardworking, and we conduct a thorough investigation and research before we come up with our final deductions. This has greatly assisted us in ensuring that the final statement has relevant data, reasonable analysis and an excellent discussion at the end. The margin of error is, therefore, subsidized by a significant percentage when it comes to analyzing the data provided.
Although as a group, we have a number of strongholds, we cannot lack some weaknesses which tend to face from time to time. One of our primary weakness is that people come up with different ideas and suggestions which creates disagreement between ourselves because we all believe that what we say is right and that there is no room for correction. Nevertheless, we are not so many in our group that one party can be given a number of tasks to work on, which I find this to be overwhelming. Having a number of tasks to work on or to conduct might increase the error of margin as opposed to when the group has enough group members, and each is assigned with his or her specific duty. Our group members tend to give too many detailed reports; thus, we find most of the time is spent on obtaining a lot of information in regard to a specific topic, and this makes the group run short of time.
There are different strategies which can be implemented to assist in enhancing different group process. One of the main strategies that I would recommend in order to facilitate our group process is the introduction of a working timetable. The introduction of a working timetable will be of great importance in that the group members will be aware of their respective duties and activities that they are supposed to conduct. Nevertheless, the working timetable will help in ensuring that people are at the right place, at the right time doing the right activities, reducing the effect of time-wasting. This means that all the group reports and assignments will be ready at the submission date quality research, analysis, discussions, and projections.
