The proposed use of robotics to provide services in care homes for the elderly will reduce dependency, create an economic stimulus and maintain disciplined routine service delivery. However, the approval and willful, informed consent of the target group is required and will be sought. This shall involve the use of consent forms which will be duly signed by the willing recipients of the services. Consent and expression of will by the participants shall follow heavy education and familiarization of what is involved in the use of Artificial intelligence as a replacement for human sourced services.

Project life and Recourse needs

The enrollment and implementation of this project is expected to take a time period of around 4-6 months and will be broken down into stages/phases. Each of these phases will be allocated time within which it will be expected to materialize.

The proposed use of robots for care provision will be capital-intensive in recourse requirement for its fruition. Heavy capital investment will be needed to support the project till full implementation. The project also requires investing in skilled, trained, professional handlers and technical operators. The implementation will require the installation of a control center where all instructions and monitoring of the robots will be facilitated. Implementation will involve total re-organization and restructuring of the residence to accommodate changes resultant of the intervention. There will be need for high level time awareness to prevent commotions and promote orderliness.

Monitoring and Data Management Planning

To maintain grip and adherence to timelines, budgets and other constraining aspects, it will be paramount that close monitoring and evaluation be carried out (Guo-li, 2010). The project will utilize tools such as questionnaires targeting recipients of the particular services in the care homes. Feedback acquired will be used to evaluate their effectiveness and suitability in care services provision. Schedule alerts will also be utilized as a monitoring tool. It will outline all the upcoming tasks, delayed tasks and any changes to the schedule that could affect the implementation process.

The implementation process will occur in phases and in a structured and gradual process instead of an overnight transformation. Gradual implementation while maintaining close monitoring and reevaluations as necessary will be ensured. This change and adoption of the high level technological utilities will create the need for high skill sets and knowledge in their handling. Therefore, the care facility will invest majorly in the training of staff and in hiring of conversant technicians and operators. Data handling and processing will be a key success factor of the project. Data will therefore be collected, analyzed, interpreted using high end and appropriate means. A data collection plan will be utilized and will comprise of information such as

Item of measure (delivery time, effectiveness, timeliness)

Data type (discrete or continuous)

Operational definition detailing the items of measure

Sample and population (whether data will be sourced from a small number as a representative of the population or from each and every robotic utility)

Responsibility levels (defining who is responsible for the particular data collection, analysis and interpretation and by what means e.g. filling a check sheet etc.)

Baseline/ benchmark (will provide the expected outcome to aid in comparison with the actual outcome)

Data collected using this process will be handled specifically by technical consultant conversant with the particular technology and data management. The project will utilize customized sheets that will provide for date, process time, activity etc. This data will be analyzed and constructive inferences presented through visual aids such as graphs and pie charts.

Barrier management and Budgeting

Resistance, technology gap and recourse inadequacy will present as challenges and barriers to the project. Strategies to counter such barriers include member participation, information communication, training and education and budgeting.

Financial feasibility of the project will entail:

Personnel costs, Computer related and other costs -a cost estimate will be established for each and their sensitivity to the project plan examined. This entails specific costs such as librarian consultation, hiring, outsourcing skills, database access and maintenance etc.

Organizational and technological capability - This feasibility evaluation will focus on the care homes ability and suitability of the adoption of the particular project, its endowment in skill, tech-readiness, financial benefits and expenses expected and compatibility both financially and technologically.

A budget will be developed to check on costs and restrain operations within budgetary provisions. It will include:

- An outline of all funding and sources

- An outline of all spending plan

· All expenses grouped under category and period of estimation e.g. yearly.

Continuous evaluation will be maintained upon implementation. Feedback will be encouraged and analysis of actual against expected performance established. This data will form the basis upon which to disband the project, continue, expand or switch strategies depending on performance.

Narrative Summary

Hi Kendra, Good effort and strong finish for Week 5! I can tell you enjoyed your assignment. You provided valuable and significant information. I left comments along the right side of the paper. You have some APA formatting updates. There is a template and APA writing tips for writing papers posted in Add-Ons under Resources, as well as the Student Success Center. These additional resources can help you with APA writing and formatting. Thanks, Dr. Rozlyn
