Track and Field Project

Brief Overview. Track and field is a very popular sport around the world. The BVI have produced several great track and field athletes that have brought the territory to the world’s stage at many different track and field arenas. Track and field athletes not only enjoy doing the sport, but it opens the door to many good opportunities including scholarships, travel and even a well-paid career in many instances. Currently, there are several local persons that are successful professional track and field athletes and they represent the BVI in related sporting events all over the world.

Track & Field

Instructions: Students are required to conduct a research as it relates to three (3) Olympic track and field athletes. Choose one athlete who participated in a Throwing, Jumping and Track event, these athletes can be either local, regional and or international. Students will be given 2 weeks for the submission of their research paper via the platform indicated by the teacher.

This research paper must include the following :

1. Student’s name, class and teacher’s name.

2. A short biography (1-2 paragraphs) of each track and field athlete. The biography should focus on the athlete’s career or journey with the sport, the name of some sporting events they competed at and any records they may hold.

3. A picture of each athlete to accompany their biography.
