In the case in question, the organization of focus is Google. It is a multinational technology entity that is widely known for its innovativeness in both its products and services. It operates in diverse areas like search, advertising, software, hardware, and cloud computing settings, stamping its authority as a market leader in these diverse areas. It is a prominent organization familiar with a lot of its information publicly available for use. For the case in question, the major issue under consideration is the erosion of the culture of employee engagement. This has been indicated by declining levels of employee satisfaction, increased turnover rates, and a general reduction in productivity. In particular, the events over time demonstrate a disconnect of Google from its focus and reputation of employee satisfaction.

Reduced employee engagement has a number of effects on the organization. It has a negative effect on the efficiency of the organization in a number of ways. To start with, it potentially leads to decreased productivity, where employees who are less engaged will be less likely to be as productive as those that are well engaged. This has a potential impact on the performance of the organization in the long run. When there is a low level of employee engagement, there will be increased turnover, which potentially may lead to rising costs for the organization as they will spend more on hiring new employees to replace those who have left the organization due to reduced engagement. This also has the potential to disrupt the team dynamics as well as bring about some reduced potential in organizational continuity. Further, a workforce that is not or less engaged will potentially stagnate. This is out of the lack of motivation to innovate. In particular, innovation is one of the most essential components or aspects of Google so as to survive in a very rapidly changing business world. To address this issue in question, it will be important to enhance leadership communication, reinforce organizational values, and promote employee wellbeing
