The three visual elements used in the collage are:

1. Shape: there are both geometric and organic shapes in the collage. The geometric are seen in the circle shaped ice cream bowls, corn shapes on both sides as well and organic shapes seen in the strawberries in the middle and ice cream toppings, providing a sense of both organization/arrangement and being unpredictable.

2. Color: many primary colors are used some secondary colors such as orange drink on the lower left side. The colors are highly saturated and the color palette is warm – by using yellows and reds.

3. Value: there is an area of highlight on the left side of the bowl of strawberries in the middle and on the right side, there is a shadow creating a sense of contrast, which made it more beautiful and more likely for the viewer to want it.

The three design principles used in the collage are:

1. Unity: there is compositional unity in the collage as there is good conceptual harmony and unity because of the pattern repetition of the same types of food (dessert). This created a sense of togetherness and organization.

2. Balance: the collage has symmetric balance as the elements are very similar on each half of the composition. The visual weight is well distributed among both sides of the collage.

3. Variety: A sense of uniqueness and diversity as there are different types of shapes, colors. There are primary, secondary, organic as well as geometric shapes. This helps intensify the work.
