Project: Great Powers Foreign Policy Analysis: [20%] You are required to submit a 7-10paged written report on the foreign policy of a major great power towards a major international issue. Topics will be discussed with the instructor during office hours or before/after class. Papers should include: Chose the Great Power Issue: Example: U.S. A Example: Policy towards Iran's nuclear program or Example: Russia Example Policy towards Syria or Ukraine

1. Introduction (5 points)

§ Explain what your paper is about? § What is the problem/issue that the Great Power is facing or

reacting to? § Who are the main countries involved in the issue or conflict? § Why is the issue important to the Great Power or the world?

2 Argument/Contending Perspectives on the issues (7 points)(4 pages) § Explain the arguments from the perspectives of both sides of the

conflict or issues. At least give three reasons why each of the countries are acting the way they are acting?

§ In your opinion which country or party is wrong and why?

3 Conclusion and recommendations: (4 points) § Discuss at least three potential solutions to the conflict. § Finally among the three solutions, choose one as your final

solution and explain why you think it is the best out of the three solutions you have discussed.

4 Bibliography/Reference. A minimum of:
