Section 6: As in Lesson 5, be sure to state the question and respond in full sentences. Section 6: Chapter 18: Question 1 The text refers to feed-forward controls, concurrent controls and feedback controls. Define these types of controls, and provide three examples of each of them. Try to use examples not found in the text. Section 6: Chapter 18: Question 2 Organizations use their balance sheets and income statements as a method of financial control. What basic elements are included in these statements and how should they be used in the organization? For example, which stakeholders should receive them and when? Section 6: Chapter 18: Question 3 What are the elements of a “balanced scorecard” method of management control? How does this process provide a better picture of organizational success or failure? Provide an example of a company that has failed in one of these measures, and discuss how that failure resulted in failures in other areas of the score card? Section 6: Chapter 19: Question 1 What are the elements of the supply chain beginning with the raw materials and ending with the consumer? You may use a good, such as a sweater, or a car to follow this process. In some cases more elements are involved than others. Remember that there are many different groups involved in the supply chain! Section 6: Chapter 19: Question 2 There are a number of elements involved in customer relations management (CRM). Many large organizations computerize at least part of this function to guarantee that needs are being met. Which elements of Customer Relations Management can be computerized in such a way as to provide and improve customer service? Section 6: Chapter 19: Question 3 Quality management is critical to organizational survival. Explain the following terms, ISO Certification, Total Quality Management, Continuous improvement, A Six Sigma Standard and Reengineering. Include how they add value to the organization. Once again determine which question you wish to develop into an essay and write a two to three page double space paper on this question.
