Summary: This lesson is designed to help students be able to check their own health.

This lesson is the first chapter of the book. It introduces the students to health.

Procedure

1) Bell Ringer- Identify the health triangle. (5 Minutes)

2) Set- Introduction of the material (5 minutes)

3) Main Lecture (20 minutes)

4) Directions for the activity (2 minutes)

5) Students complete the activity (13 minutes)

6) Closure (5 minutes)

Differentiated Instruction

Remediation Objective: Students will identify physical social, and mental/emotional health issues with no mistakes (Bloom’s Application, DOK-1)

Enrichment Objective: Students will list the social, physical, mental/emotional health issues with no more than 5 wrong answers (Bloom’s Application, DOK-1)
