Here are few instructions for the Final paper:

1. For format, there is of course the rubric and you can access online academic journals for free from the UNT library website.

2. Regarding the content of the paper, I want to know your thoughts about what you think should be the ethics of a counselor who is dealing with clients with co-occurring issues. This is a descriptive, analytical paper. It has no right or wrong answers and has nothing to do with the quizzes.

3. You can think in terms of examples. For example, if a client is prescribed painkillers for their physically disabling condition and they start abusing pain meds...then what does counseling ethics say? Do you advocate for not prescribing pain meds to the client...even when they need those meds? Or do you plan it differently?

4. Don't use the above illustration...but think in those terms to start with. I believe there is also the Rehab Counselor's code of ethics that I have attached within the module. You can consult it in terms of knowing about the ethics.

5. As there is no right or wrong answer, feel free to express yourself and back it up with citations, without any pressure. However, be detailed, meticulous and make your case well.... like a lawyer's argument.
