INFO Final Case Study

Hello class,

                This week topic is a very interesting one in my opinion. I have heard of google and how fast-growing the company it’s been since the beginning but I was not aware of all the research and production that this corporation has been developing. Google is being working in partnership with other entities to develop new technologies to change or improve our future. Besides Google Self-Driving Car or WAYMO (new way forward in mobility), they have Project Tango (Google Maps), Project Bright (Home of the Future), Google Glass and Project Ara (Future Smart Phones). These are the technologies I will be researching for the final case study.

                The self-driving car has become a sensational item on google technologies. The list of interesting facts about WAYMO is extensive but overall the fact that you don’t have to worry about driving despite your physical condition is amazing. Project Tango is an advancement of the google maps platform. It will go on more detail than ever detecting the movement and depth of the surrounding areas you’re standing in. Project Bright is basically a way to control your home appliances from your phone. This is amazing since you can start making your coffee while you still upstairs or waking up. At the same time you have the risk of getting hacked since it might use Wi-Fi connection. Google Glass is also a magnificent product because they manage to make it as a hands-free device, you can link with other coworkers through live video streaming. Also if you don’t know how to do something at work this is a great tool to help you through. Project Ara will be the innovation for smart phones. With this project you will able to update not only your software but your hardware too. Changing the processor or the battery are only a few things this advancement will let you do.

                I believe that the self-driving car will be the most contributive technology for our society and the future. The fact that you can move from one place to another even if you have been drinking or physically disable, is really impressive and it will save millions of lives.
