First step
Testing Your Subject
Last week we applied concepts from Julie Beck’s article “This Article Won’t Change Your Mind” to a real-world context: a debate between a scientist named Spencer and a flat Earther named Nathan.
At this point you should have chosen the real-world example/s that you plan to examine in your research paper. We will repeat this exercise with your topic, allowing you to connect this example to terms in the article. Use the same grid that we used for the “Flat Earther” video:
