Occupation/Career Expectations
After my graduation, I have the desire to work in the finance department of one of the most reputable companies in the world. I hope that I will not have many transfers during my career, and will only settle for those that help me build the career. As a finance professional, there are some salary expectations that I have and I have estimated my salary in 10 years increment stages. When I first get a job after graduation, I expect to earn $ 50,000 that will increase to $ 70,000 after 10 years and then to $ 90,000 after 20 years. I expect that will earn about $ 130,000 when my career is about 50 years old.
Investment Horizon and Life Expectancy
After first getting my job, I expect to work for 36 years before I retire and this is the duration which I will contribute towards my retirement fund which will enable me meet my retirement goals. I plan to retire at the age of 60 years and according to the life span calculate, I will live for 16 more years after I retire. According to the results that I received from the lifespan calculator as per my lifestyle, I am supposed to live for 76 years.
Risk Preferences
After taking the risk tolerance quiz I had a total result of 32 points and this meant that my general tolerance for risks is above average. As I get close to my retirement time, I plan to increase my retirement capabilities and start investing in assets such as bonds and commodities such as gold, oil and silver. I believe that although these investments are risky, they are worthy because the rewards are lucrative.

After talking to various professionals in the finance field, those that are nearing their retirement age and those that have already retired I realized that they all had almost similar financial plans and expectations when they retire.
