Lina Alrashidi Reflection Questions 1. a. I believe that the instructors can improve the class in terms of performance by diversifying the modes of teaching and assignments given to students. In this case, a more student-centered approach to teaching, including interacting with them at a personal level to understand their respective strengths, weaknesses, and preferences, would enable us to improve in areas that we normally struggle to understand and maximize on our strengths. Besides, the instructor could further enhance the students’ performance by blending practical and theory classes and assignments to break the monotony of single teaching technique. b. members have helped my group to be successful because: i. They provide different perspectives of thinking and interpreting ideas. ii. They have unique abilities such as time management and leadership skills iii. They have different strengths in different subject areas thus helping those who experience challenges in those subjects. c. I believe the group members would help to improve the group further by learning basic diversity skills to reduce incidences of misunderstandings based on cultural and social background differences. 2. a. The instructor can improve the class by adopting a more practical approach to teaching. At the same time, more students would benefit from prompt class feedbacks on assignments and revision of these assignments at individual and group levels. In this case, students can choose their own group partners depending on their performances in the assignment. b. Among the most important behaviors from my group members are the desire to form close friendship bonds and understanding each other at a personal level. This is instrumental in managing each other’s emotions and attitudes during group activities. Similarly, the motivation by each group member to conduct extensive research on specific topics prior to their discussion has enabled us to have a greater understanding of the subjects during class discussions. c. I would wish that members of our group become more time conscious and respond promptly to group duties whenever needed. Moreover, it would further satisfying if every person’s opinions and ideas were listened to and respected regardless of their correctness to improve group spirit and desire for active participation.
