Due December 11th at 11:59PM!!!!

Writing the Final Research Proposal

The research proposal is the last assignment of the semester. And luckily for you, you have already written the majority of it! With this final research proposal, you are combining each of the individual sections that you have written and received edits/feedback on. When it is all said and done, you will have a paper with a title page, abstract, introduction, method, discussion, and a reference page, properly formatted according to APA guidelines, that details the proposal of a research study.

When editing your paper be sure to review the specific rubric for each section, make the necessary edits, and check that your paper aligns with APA formatting, citing, and style guidelines. Following APA formatting, citing, and style guidelines is a big component of your grade for the final research proposal.

Refer to the sample paper & lab manual if you are not sure how to format!

Also read through the lab lecture on tips to write the final research proposal. It will come in handy!

Note: Final Paragraph of the Introduction

The introduction has three sections to it.

· The introductory paragraph

· The Literature Review

· Paragraph introducing proposed study

The last paragraph is something we have yet to write. More detailed information has been provided in the final proposal PowerPoint as well as the lab manual. The final paragraph should do the following:

· Describe the goals of the present study, and how they flow from or seek to refine or question previous work.

· State the variables of interest and how you are operationalizing them.

· Describe in detail the predictions that your theory or perspective makes about the results of the current study.

· List the formal hypotheses that you have about the expected outcomes.
