*Alphabetize your list - do not number/bullet sources.
Abbey, Edward. The Best of Edward Abbey. Second edition. Sierra Club books, 1984.
Carson, Rachel. The Sea Around Us. Oxford UP, 1950.
Tickell, Josh. Kiss the Ground: How the Food You Eat Can Reverse Climate Change, Heal Your Body & Ultimately Save the World. Enliven Books, 2017.
Note: If there are two or more reference listings from the same source, you must identify in your citation which one it is by including more info about the source, the title of a reading/webpage or date.
13
The Golden Rule of Citing
Remember that any information you include that is not considered “common knowledge” to the general public—even if it’s common knowledge to you—must be cited. This means you must name your source for this information. Not to do so is considered plagiarism, which will result in steep penalties or a zero for the assignment.
Be careful not to overquote! The majority of your presentation, 60% or more, should be made up of your own words and ideas.
*Make sure your Turnitin.com percentage, which measures the amount of borrowed information, stays below 40%.
