Technical workstream

A technical workstream lead's job is to lead a group of people in accomplishing a task. Within the workplace, this is part of a larger program's scope. A workstream leader should be able to: be a well-rounded individual with attributes such as honesty, integrity, teamwork, communication, empathy, confidence, inspiration, delegation, and many others A Leading Petty Officer, which I hold in the military, is an example of this post. This individual is supposed to be an expert in his or her specialty. You could be in charge of anything from five to one hundred and five individuals, depending on your division. You should have a plethora of knowledge in your subject as the technical workstream lead, and if you are asked a question, you should know how to locate an answer if you don't know it right away. You are accountable for assisting your chain of command with day-to-day activities or tasks. You must also be able to manage people's schedules, family concerns, attitudes, and any other issues that may arise.
Science, in my definition, is something that is researched or discovered through experimentation, and technology is something that has been made by the application of science. Although the two terms are distinct, you cannot have technology without science. Furthermore, as science and technology have expanded and invigorated human activity, new challenges have developed in society, necessitating the development of new sciences and technologies capable of addressing the new issues that have evolved as a result of the changes in society (Nikhilesh et al. n.d). Science is the foundation that allows technology to take off. Scientific and technical advancements have not only made people's lives easier and richer, but they have also changed the way society functions. This is accurate because a few of my classmates discussed how the iPhone has transformed society as a result of the invention of smart phones in debate number one. “They're the first group to grow up as digital natives, having had the internet and mobile phones from an early age,” says the current Z generation. In 2018, the majority of business agreements and interactions are conducted via cellphones or social media platforms such as Twitter, Facebook, Snapchat, and others. This form of technology facilitates communication while simultaneously increasing the likelihood of being misunderstood.
An invention is something completely new that has never been made before, whereas innovation is the process of improving or improving something that has already been created. There are differences between the two; according to Business Insider, the key difference between the two is the emphasis. Invention can be defined as the act of releasing a person’s mind potential to generate new thoughts. Innovation, on the other hand, is completely quantitative. Change is introduced into relatively stable systems through innovation (Marshall, 2013). A microprocessor is an example of an invention that was made to improve the functionality of the computers. On the other hand, an innovation taking place is automobile. As time goes by, people are making changes in the automobile machines.
A technological road map's goal is to plan for both short- and long-term objectives. solutions in technology Goals, new technology, and technology road maps are the eight major components of technology road maps. Release plans, resources, System capabilities, milestones, training, risk factors, and status reports are all things to think about. A technology roadmap's ultimate goal is to bring important stakeholders, such as Engineering, IT, and other business divisions, together by developing a strategy for implementing new technology solutions or maintaining existing ones (Haaf, 2016).

The stigma associated with the mental disorder and depression is relatively higher across the Globe. Notably, most of the victim feels so irrelevant and neglected in the society. For instance, most youths fail to obtain the requisite help from the relevant body from the recent study and research analyst. Thus, it’s important to come up with a new technology application that will help the individual in the community who are suffering to help and meet with their psychological therapist. Thus am intending to come up with the Mind therapy software application which will induce the online and the technological reunion of the client and the therapist. The innovation will be applied in the mobile phone and stored in the play store, where every individual can download to connect with the various psychological therapists effectively.
Therefore, to facilitate the ideology, I will find the youth's problem due to physical depression. Moreover, I will charter the different techniques I will use to define the problem and the objective through concept engineering. Furthermore, I will identify the value which the application project will induce in the society and the dynamic of the problem, which the ides will use to solve the problem through the chain of the value engineering products (Etemadipour, & Mahdinejad, 2021). Finally, the induction of the value engineering process will facilities me to come up with the various proctology in terms of the valuation, time, and capital investment which I will use to make the technology become a reality. The updating of the Mind therapy software application will be a milestone for people with depression in society.
Various concepts can be considered through the process. For instance, the process can help me identify the ROI concept, which is fundamental in launching the idea and adjusting the idea to the audience to reach a larger and new audience. The technology application will be relatively effective. It will solve the perennial problem, which most people have been suffering in silence. Moreover, it will provide a positive solution that is more accommodative in society for the people who require psychological therapists in society.

Associate Capstone (APS-295-OL010)
August 15, 2021
In assignment one, I identified the software or the application that I intend to use to assess the stigma that is associated with the mental disorder and depression across the world. This application is intended at helping the individuals suffering from mental disorder across the world to meet their psychological therapist. The mind therapy software application is aimed at reducing the online and the technological reunion of the client and the therapist. (Flick,2017)
The type of qualitative data, quantitative data and market analysis that will be used in determining the market feasibility of this application software include; diary accounts, in-depth interviews, documents, focus groups, case study research, and ethnography. The most effective data that will be collected for the purpose of this project will be in-depth interviews. This will be carried out by asking the individuals who have ever used this application software on its effectiveness, the ability of the software to work without failing, interoperability of the software, and the reliability of the software. This will help in determining whether the software is of the quality required so that it is implemented in the healthcare sector to help in reducing the cases of mental disorder.
Another important methodology for data collection that will be relevant for this project is the ethnography research. This research will enable me to go the field and immerse myself in the target population where I will be collecting data to see for myself how the application will be used, how people will receive the idea on the ground and how the patients of mental disorder will be able to communicate with the healthcare professionals using the application. I will have to enter into the culture of the people who have ever used the application software so that I learn how it works. also, I will have to enter the culture of the patients suffering from mental disorder so that I explain to the community how the application will be used and collect data on whether they have understood or not.
To carry out the market analysis for the mind therapy software application in order to determine the market feasibility for the application, I will employ the use of survey method. Survey is a form of qualitative research that will be used by asking the respondents, in this case who are the parents or the guardians for the children with mental disorder on the effectiveness of the application software that I intend to come up with. The parents will be asked their views on using the software, nurses and doctors will also be asked on their views on the use of the software for communication with the children with mental disorder. This will be done by use of screen questionnaire or via email to carry out the online survey and find out the viability of the application software. Another method for determining the market feasibility would be by use of the interviews. I would interview the healthcare professionals on whether the software application that I intend to implement to use for communication between children with mental disorder and the healthcare professionals is effective or may be it would have problems. this will help in ensuring that the software is effective and friendly for use. (Maxwell,2018)
The potential threats that would be encountered during market introduction of the new application software include; resistant from the intended users. Some of the users that are intended for this software may not accept to make use of it. For instance, the children having mental disorder may not be able to use it for communication, also, there are people who are technophobic and may decide not to use the application.
The specific critical success factors that would be used in determining the success of deployment of the software application will the acceptance of the use of the software amongst the healthcare workers, parents and the patients intended for the application.

Technology life cycle
Introduction
As an ERP, Infor M3 is an effective solution. However, Infor Inc. is preparing to launch a newer version of Infor M3 called Infor M4. According to Demi, (2018), “this version will utilize up-to-date technologies to offer a unique user experience and commanding analytics in a multi-country, multi-organization, and multi-site ERP cloud solution platform.” Together with related industry- precise 'cloud site resolutions, Infor M4 will come with industry- prominent functionalities for distribution, chemical, equipment, industrial, fashion, manufacturing, and food, and beverages industries. This ERP solution can assist average to large (global or national corporations) promptly move in the digital era, react quicker to change, lessen surplus inventory, and cut costs. The technology comes with come with flexible placement possibilities and application accelerators to deliver a lowered total expenditure of possession and short time of value. There are stages involved in the Infor M4 technology life cycle and they include development and research, introduction/ ascent phase, growth phase, maturity and saturation phase, and decay or decline phase.
Development and research- this is the phase that ascertains the utmost opportunities for cost decrease and enhancement of the product performance and parameters. It is used to establish the feasibility of the product, substantiate when it should go to the market, and ways of approaching the official introduction. At this phase, expenses are accruing with no subsequent income. (Li, (2017). The current product may require one to two years and a considerable capital investment ($2million) to develop and then test its effectiveness. Due to the high risk, outside financing sources are limited and therefore, Infor Inc. will fund the research and development of the product from profit produced by the company’s current products.
Introduction/ ascent phase- this is the phase where the Infor M4 will be first instigated in the market. This is where the company will step past the product itself to foster a market for the product and shape product awareness. Market budgets will be high at this phase ($1 million), as it is essential to reach out to probable clients. O'Leary, (2019) notes that the best option for the company when marketing the product is to emphasize assessing distribution means and massaging. Whereas the promoting expenditure might be substantial, the company can advantageously leverage it to recognize marketing conduits that result in higher conversions. Since the Infor Inc. Company is a renowned firm with similar products, they can charge the new product higher to regain expenses correlated with the development phase. Owing to the company’s brand popularity, this stage will persist for 2 to 3 years.
Growth phase- in this phase, the Infor M4 has by now been acknowledged by the consumer. Now, the firm is endeavoring to augment its market share, implying that revenue and demand are increasing. Since Infor Inc. is a popular company with similar products, the current product will be arriving in a crowded market, where rivals will respond rather swiftly. Therefore, the company should respond by fine-tuning its messaging, solidifying its brand authority, and expanding into new dissemination channels. Generally, this stage is not definite as it could fluctuate from six months, one year, or more after introduction. At this stage, the expenses from the development stage will be entirely or mostly recovered.
Saturation/maturity- this is the stage where transactions will level up. This will not mean that the sales are not mounting, it means that a similar degree of swift growth will be absent. At this point, the company will start lowering the product prices, give free additions or make modifications to maintain competitiveness. Production levels will wane and even the marketing expenses are more expected to be effective and refined at this stage. Thus, while the sales are not augmenting in capacity, the product is in its most lucrative in this phase since the expenditures from the above stages have already been recovered and the company can now start to acquire a return of the investment capital. This will be three to four years after the product introduction.
Decline/decay phase- the Infor M4 will have a decreased income because of either higher competition, market saturation, or variation in consumer preferences. For the current product, this will likely occur in the seventh year after the introduction phase. (Saxena, (2019). At this phase, the company can either discover new usages of the product or enter novel markets. The company will have to consider the expenses and benefits correlated with each option
Conclusion
There is no warrant of how long the product will stay in each phase. Identifying the phase that the product is in can successfully assist the company in enhancing strategies for the product. The product’s phase has as much impact on the company's decision as sales performance.

Development processes
An ERP software is a piece of software that aids businesses with handling different business undertakings from one spot. The proposed Infor M4 ERP from Infor Inc. “will utilize up-to-date technologies to offer a unique user experience and commanding analytics in a multi-country, multi-organization, and multi-site ERP cloud solution platform.” (Saxena, (2019). Given the current environments and the augmenting global interest in the various sectors as a chief concern, it is perceptive that an ever-augmenting number of businesses are currently putting resources into dedicated ERP software enhancements ready to assist in operational management and authoritative construction.
To design the Infor M4 ERP, the engineers and developers must first outline the objectives and advancements of the ERP. The client usually designates this to the developer, where what the system is anticipated to deliver at the end of the improvement procedure is explained. A quality ERP structure should have the option to manage data streams of various exercises and automate routines. (Charland, (2016). This step is then followed by diving into UI/UX layout. The developers will mainly operate with protocols to establish presentation platforms for users. The developers will have to form a front-end that will transform the information language to the user linguistic and use XML for nonaligned languages. The developers will use UI/UX design since it is straightforward and easy to understand. Then the engineers and developers will construct wireframes and meticulously consider the customer’s stream before getting to the UI design.
Like most undertakings, a blueprint functions as the foundation of the entire procedure, and therefore, the engineers and developers must develop a comprehensive blueprint and wireframe. The system outline will contain whole data concerning the development procedure, resources to be utilized, and the timeframe. Wireframing will include affirming the elements participating in the ERP development procedure, accounts, sales, procurement, HR, etc. (Saxena, (2019). This will establish the basis of the organization’s business functionalities and the data to be incorporated with the Infor M4 system. Since the anticipated Infor M4 ERP will be web-centered, the developers will choose a web-based ERP solution run on the peripheral web server.
To make the Infor M4 ERP system stable, the developers must choose a robust tech stack. The tech stack includes the database and framework and is the basis for which the ERPP will be constructed. The stack of technologies depends on the chosen stages. Therefore, since the current ERP is web-based, the developers will use Bootstrap, Angular, or JavaScript. In the turn of events, it is not unforeseen to use various outsider combinations. Developers can integrate administrations including Office 365, G Suite, and more into the Infor M4 ERP outline. (Talalay). Constructing ERP needs testing on every portion of the items. The progression of the development team will rely on a few QA experts who will assess the system to uncover and remedy all the bugs.
A businesses’ data is currently their greatest advantage, and in the development of an ERP system, the companies should be asserted safety, validity, and integrity of the system. ERP designers must therefore be conversant with the existing array of database technologies, including storage processes and inductions. They are taxed with selecting the most apt database innovations for a firm's data. Developers encounter difficulties in evaluating if the ERP software will expedite the firm’s growth over time; its tractability to scale with variation in the business environment and technologies and maintain feasibility in the long run.
ERP development is a challenging undertaking. However, the above process will enable the addition of attributes as the business world changes and the firm grows. It will also increase the workforce's productivity. (Charland, (2016). This ERP solution can assist average to large (global or national corporations) promptly move in the digital era, react quicker to change, lessen surplus inventory, and cut costs. The technology comes with flexible placement possibilities and application accelerators to deliver a lowered total expenditure of possession and short time of value. However, since the Infor M4 ERP system is expected to have a vast number of users and user functions, it will require more features, increasing the expenditure of the ERP development.
