Final Project Communication 118, introduction to interpersonal communication and culture
Final Paper Workshop 5
DUE: 8/13
You have to submit either a draft version of your paper, or an outline.
As you already wrote your literature review, you do not have to include that in your outline (and it does not count towards the word count). Yet, if you do include it, I will comment on your revisions.
1. Write a draft introduction
Write an introduction for your paper (see the paper guidelines on Blackboard). Make sure to include your research question/statement as well as a description of what you did to reach a conclusion.
2. Defend up to 3 claims based on your data
Based on your data, make three claims and show how these claims can be inferred from your data based on a thick description. Make sure your claims relate to your research question/statement.
If you present less claims, you need to be more elaborate. If you present more claims, you can remain more superficial.
3. Conclusion
Write a conclusion. Summarize your argument and show how your claims make your conclusion probable or certain (be sure to choose a right qualifier!)
