Final Paper Project Description

10/21/2019

* Brief Description

Toward the end of semester, we are kind of early shifting our attention toward final paper project for this course. Since this is a step-by-step process-oriented project, you will be guided what to do from now on.

As I talked in classroom earlier, you are going to write a synthesis research paper, which means that you are going to choose a topic, develop a research question based on your topic, find relevant sources, and then synthesize your source materials by using paraphrasing, summarizing, and quoting skills. The difference between the paper that you submitted last Sunday and the upcoming paper that you will work with is the number of sources and the pages . In your final draft, I would expect you to find at least 7 sources with at least 8-page paper. In short, you will be able to strengthen your synthesizing, paraphrasing, summarizing, quoting, and even research skills throughout this project.

In this project, you will submit a series of mini-assignments for your final paper project from now on. That is, you would submit the following stuffs: (a) proposal (5), (b) working reference list (5), (c) draft(s) (5), and (d) final draft (25). You MUST submit all the stuffs, as they are the part of your grade for the final paper project. Please be aware that this final paper project is 40% of your whole grade for this course.

Regarding the late submissions of any mini-writing assignments described above, you will receive some penalty, which means certain points will be deducted. Thus, it is very important that you should be aware of due dates for mini-assignments for this project.
