Chapter 1 Intertwined With You

"Damn. I have to get this paper done before tomorrow or else I’m screwed.'' I thought,

letting my fingers fly off the keyboard, trying to get this paper on Shakespeare done and over

with. I decided to take a break as I leaned back in my chair taking a sip of my coffee. I let my

eyes roam over my surroundings. All the tables around me were full as I watched

waiters/waitresses run around trying to make sure everyone was ok during the morning rush. I

loved the activity and relaxed mood of this coffee shop making it my favorite place to come and

think or enjoy coffee with friends.

I turned my attention back to the laptop in front of me and was about to continue my

writing when suddenly a shadow cast against my table causing me to look up. I glanced up and

saw a guy looking up at me. But the closer I looked at him I realized that he was very cute maybe

even sexy. "Umm hey. I don't mean to bother you but would you mind if I took a sit. If you can

see all the other tables are completely full." Said the guy in a deep sexy voice. I nodded my head

and smiled then turned back to my computer screen. Out of the corner of my eye I watched as the

guy sit down across from me and began taking a laptop out of his bag. He then placed his coffee

to the left of me and began booting up his laptop.

"By the way the names Damien." He said extending his hand towards me. I shook his

hand and with a polite smile said, "Nice to meet to you meet you, Damien. My name is Kitten."

He looked at me with confusion, then humor and chuckled. "You know I’m not a stalker or

anything, so you don't have to lie about your name." He said laughing. I rolled my eyes at him.

Whenever I told someone my middle name they always laughed or demanded to know what my

name really was. "I'm telling the truth my middle name is Kitten." He still looked at me

doubtfully, probably waiting for me to fess up to my lie. "What’s your whole name?'' Damien

asked staring at me. I sighed and said," Elizabeth Kitten Black."

I then pulled my ID out of my wallet and showed it to him. He took the ID from me and

our fingers lightly brushed against each other causing me to jerk my hand back. He looked it

over, nodded his head and gave it back to me. Then with a playful smile on his lips, he said: "I

guess your name checks out." I nodded my head at him and turned my attention back to my

work. If I didn't get this paper done, I'll probably won’t hear the end of it from Mark. "That's a

very unique name for someone." Said Damien, making me divert my attention back to him.

"Well, I was always told that I was different," I said with a shrug.

"Well, I find being unique to be very attractive in a woman." He said in a cocky yet flirty

tone. I narrowed my eyes at him and thought "He’s really trying to flirt with me?" With a smirk

on my face, I decided to flirt back just to see where this was going. "Really? What else do you

find attractive about girls?'' I asked batting my eyelashes at him. Damien’s face broke out into a

sexy grin and said, "I really like it, when a girl lets someone take care of her." I looked at him

curiously and replied, "What do you mean by taking care of?" The cocky bastard then winked at

me and answered, "I mean when a girl lets a guy financially take care of her. You know like

paying for stuff and buying her gifts." He then added, "I have no problem with that since I own a

company and have lots of money."

I stared at him with anger and disgust. He was actually trying to with me by telling me

that's he's rich, thinking I would fall for him because he had money. I decided to let him have it.

Glaring at him, I laughed and said, "I'm sorry but you can just stop right there. First off, I don't

date jerk offs like you, especially when they try to get girls with money. And lastly, I know you

have a type and trust me I’m most definitely not your type.” I closed my laptop and placed it in

my bag. Then finished off the rest of my coffee as I watched his reaction to what just happened. I

smiled as I saw confusion, a slight hint of anger, then calmness pass over his face.

He leaned back in his chair, took a sip from his coffee and then spoke, "Well since you

say you know what my type then tells me. I would love to hear what you say." I tilted my head to

the side and tapped my finger against my chin pretending to think this over. ''Well I guess since

you asked, I have to tell you," I said with a shrug. Damien nodded his head at me as if saying

''Go ahead". "Well, your types of girls are the ones who are not that smart, have big boobs, a

supermodel type body and are usually blonde," I said pointing at him. He stopped and thought

about what I said for a moment and then a big Cheshire as a grin appeared on his lips. "Wow.

You actually got that all right. All the way down to the boobs part.'' Said Damien clapping his

hands slowly together.

I was about to make a rude comment to him when he added, ''But you know I thought

maybe it was time to change things up, you know. Try something new." He then looked at me up

and down, then winked. "He must think he really has balls if he just said that to me." I thought,

getting up from my seat. "Hey. Where are you going?" He called me while I continued to walk

away. I didn't even stop or turn around. I just waved behind me and called out "Asshole" and

continued walking home
