FINAL EXERCISE

Your group will be responsible for sending in teams to assess a hazardous materials spill inside a concrete bunker, roughly 25’ x 25’ x10’. There is no power in the room and there is reported one leaking 55 gallon drum of trichloroethylene in the room. It is leaking from holes in the bottom of the drum and all contents are on the floor running in a north easterly direction. (SEE MAP). There is no ventilation in the room and its is 93o F outside the room. Knowing this and other information you may need to identify, prepare the following materials for tomorrow.

Your team will need to enter the room to do the following activities:

1. Investigate only; no container handling or clean up;

2. Identify all sources of contamination

3. Determine sensitive areas.

As the teams go into the room, I will be giving you information regarding air concentrations and other important aspects of the entry. You will need to respond to those informational insets immediately.( You can do this later)
