Final Draft Paper #3

Due Friday by 11:59pm Points 20 Submitting an external tool Available Dec 7 at 12am - Dec 11 at 11:59pm 5 days

I was able to return the 2nd drafts of Paper #3 to everyone more than a week ago. I was able to edit and provide suggestions to hopefully improve the papers of everyone who turned them in. I am hopeful as well that you will take my notes and comments very seriously in order to write and turn in the best product possible for this paper. Reminder that this paper will be worth 20 points.

A=20, A-=18, B+=17, B=16, B-=15, C+=15, C=14, C-=13

Your assignment this week is to complete the Final Draft of Paper #3 by the assigned deadline at 11:59pm (see below) and send a copy of this Final Draft only to Canvas (pdf. preferred). Now is the time for you to write the 6-8 page paper; it is has been proven that by having 1st and 2nd drafts be 2-page outlines instead of papers with longer page limits not only saves time but is also a much more efficient way to catch mistakes.

I will not accept any late papers for this assignment unless there is a serious, life-threatening emergency. Therefore, do everything within your ability to write well and be on time. I am hopeful that you have made the most of your time in the research and preparation to make the best Final Draft possible.

As always, you may contact me anytime before the deadline via Canvas email and during our Zoom office hours on Tuesday for clarification or any extra advice. Once I return your 2nd draft papers, I usually do not do any extra editing, so this would be a great opportunity to meet with the Online Writing Center staff in order to get extra or last-minute help before the deadline. I also urge everyone to get in contact with a Online Reference Librarian on our campus before the deadline to make absolutely sure that you are proving that your film "feeds the mind." Finally, make sure to have a correct Works Cited page; by this time, this should not be an issue for most of you. Follow MLA Format as close as you can, and ask for help from either the Online Writing Center or do your own learning/investigation by utilizing the EasyBib website or the University of Purdue OWL or even excelsior.com.

When you turn in your assignment, your paper will be reviewed by Turnitin. There is nothing you need to look for or to click on that will say Turnitin; it will be done automatically for you upon turning in the Final Draft. Turnitin is a plagiarism checker that is integrated in CANVAS. Less than 25% copy score from Turnitin is an acceptable level of borrowing, if cited properly. Please make sure that you are submitting the correct file type.

Final Draft Paper #3

Upload Submission

You have no active papers in this assignment

You must submit a .pdf submission, and make sure that it is a text-based file. Image-based files will not give you a Turnitin score. Assignments submitted in a format that does not allow a Turnitin score will not be accepted, and will result in a 0 for that assignment. If you are over 25% Turnitin threshold, you must revise your assignments in order to stay under the 25% Turnitin threshold. Upon submitting, a Turnitin score will be generated, and if it is under 25%, you are finished. It is imperative to do this way before the Friday deadline, for waiting until the last minute could very likely create a serious problem. Finally, you will be allowed to resubmit numerous times if needed, so long as it is not past the Friday night deadline.

Finally, remember to follow the expected MLA format rules (double space, Times New Roman, 12 point, Align Left, Full Heading on the top left side of page 1 only, Header on the top right side of every corresponding page, and a Works Cited page--this must be on a separate page and is not a part of the overall 6-8 full pages.

It is to your benefit to be punctual and sincere in your effort throughout our semester together. Good luck--one last reminder that points will be reduced for any non-compliance with my above- mentioned instructions.
