Unit 8 Assignment: Reflections in Time – Considering What You Have Learned (FIN401 Insurance and Risk Management)
Due Date: 11:59 pm EST Friday of Unit 8 Points: 100 Overview: The final Reflective Paper is an opportunity for you to consider what you have learned in the Course over the past 7 units. It is an opportunity to demonstrate your knowledge and understanding of the major concepts associated with risk management and insurance. Instructions: As a way of preparing to write the paper, it may be helpful to read through the syllabus, course textbook, homework assignments and the postings on Blackboard to give some thought to the ‘Ahas’ you had, or moments of discovery and/or inspiration that occurred during this Course. In your response, describe a few examples of what you have learned, discuss how you are helped by this learning and consider the future implications of what you’ve learned for your effectiveness at work, school, with your family or in your community. Be specific and use examples. This is also an opportunity to synthesize elements of the class (e.g., what risk, perils or hazards have you overlooked or minimized in your daily life or business? Can you develop a contingency and budget to protect against those risks? What new knowledge and information did you learn from the video and digital content, and how does that knowledge integrate into your daily or professional life (think about the role of a risk manager). Then, think about in what way(s) you will utilize that new knowledge to protect the assets of your family, employer/business, and personal finances. Requirements:
• 3-5 pages, typed, double-spaced with 12 inch font. • Submit a Word document in APA format. • At least three resources.
Be sure to read the criteria below by which your work will be evaluated before you write and again after you write.
