FEEDBACK OF ASSIGNMENT 2. 06/0422
The first section asked you to describe what is known about the etiology, and likely trajectory if the problem untreated or undertreated. You have done this to a point, but your focus is primarily on the mental health impacts. It would have been good for you to extend this to the impacts on his functioning and development in general.
The second part asked that you discuss, with reference to the best available evidence, what psychotherapeutic approach, treatments, or evaluated therapeutic programmes reflect the best or ideal approach to facilitate recovery in primary care with this problem or constellation of problems. The treatments you have discussed are appropriate to the situation- so good job on that front. However, there is no mention of programs for youth- ie headspace etc. There is also no mention of primary health. This should have been central in your discussion given that is what the subject is about.
The final section asked you to critically discuss the need for early intervention and recovery focused services in primary care. You mentioned early intervention in the final paragraph- the discussion was vague at best. There was no discussion about recovery oriented practice or primary health care. Just make sure for your final task you incorporate this into your assignment as not to miss the focus.
I do hope my feedback has been helpful. You have done the reading and ground work. Now it is about keeping to the focus to explain the key concepts.
