The taxi business has been around for quite long but the digital process of doing business in this industry has only been affected in the last decade when the use of smart phones hit the market with millions of customers subscribed. Technology companies have invested millions of dollars in research to come up with sophisticated software for running this business. This has therefore led to a variety of features that apply to taxi operating in different cities. The list below provides some of the features and benefits for the current form of taxi business.

Maps and instant locations- Most of taxi operators have their cars fitted with software which have the capability to access google maps providing a path on the shortest and most convenient road to be used to reach a particular destination.
In app payments- Most taxi operators support in app payments which provide a great way of completing paper less transactions. In the same way they help eliminate theft of cash money which drivers would be having in the absence of this feature
Digital analytics system- This provides a way of ensuring that data collected for distance and customers can be analysed almost instantly.
