interact with others globally through internet social networking (Inglehart, 2018). The Internet
has both negative and positive consequences on the relationships that exist among individuals.
Over the past five years, communication has greatly been boosted, strengthening the relationship
between partners who are dating. Communication is key as it helps to maintain the tie by
allowing partners who are far apart interns of distance to communicate and share memories.
As technology improved, it allowed partners who are dating to be able to share photos,
images and even make video calls. Video calls are the current advances that have helped enhance
the relationships among different partners who are dating. The video call partners feel as if they
are close to each other, hence straitening the relationship between them.
Some dating relationships have been negatively influenced using video call apps when

monitor activities happening through the Internet.
On the Internet, the number of online dating sites increases with rapid speed indicating
how dating will be affected in the future (van der Zanden, Mos, Schouten, & Krahmer, 2021).
Following cultural ethics, dating was supposed to be among individuals who know each other
better. At least both families understand each other to lead to a combat relationship that results in
a successive marriage. But with the development in technology, people start interacting without
having adequate knowledge, which ends up interacting and starts dating without knowing each
other's authentic character. Therefore, intermate use as a mode of interaction will change how
dating is carried away, defending with how partners make use of the Internet.
Dating sites allow one to meet more than one person, hence providing an opportunity for
chatting in dating. When one does not hold moral standards can easily be lured by the dating
sites to date more than one partner, it creates problems to the success of the relationships built
through online dating sites. Therefore, online dating's success depends on how users apply moral

other. With the globalization of the business in future, people will be working anywhere
globally, making communication and meeting difficult. Online dating sites allowing partners to
meet and continue communicating despite the distance between them. Communication is an eye
in the dating process's success because even if partners are far apart for a longer period, they still

online sites will end up being married to each other, displacing the traditional culture white it is
expected that marriage should be based on mutual understanding of the families from which the
partners are coming from.
From the events that are happening because of changes in technology, dating will change
greatly in the future depending on how individuals are using technological gadgets in daily
operations. Those who take most of their time on the internet sharing memories, photos with
friends and having little time for their partners are going to be in the category which will be
negatively affected by modern technology, while those who will be using the technology as an
opportunity of enhancing communication will be on the group that will be positively impacted
with the development in technology.
