Frequently Asked Questions About the Research Papers (see the Research Paper Guidelines in Doc Sharing for more information): How long do they have to be? Both must be a minimum of 1500 words. How many sources must I use? A minimum of 4. Can I use the textbooks as sources? Yes, which gives you 2/4 of the required sources. Can I use the Bible as a source? Yes, but it only counts as a single source, even if you cite different books, chapters, or verses. Can I use an online source? Yes, as long as it is either an E-Book or an online peer reviewed journal article both of which can be found in the SLU library? Can I use any results of a Google Search for sources for my research papers? No.  Must I cite all my sources in both the Works Cited and parenthetically in the body of my paper? Yes.
