Question

MIS is composed of Management, information, and system. There are three components
of effective decision-making that have been instrumental in the development of decision-making
techniques for any organization. With the help of MIS, a company's decision and strategy making
functions are improved.
There is a simplified way of presenting data in words and numerals, and the information
is stored in a computer system. The concept of data refers to facts that are gathered informally,
and context refers to their interpretation. Information is data that is gathered about a specific
subject. “Digital technology sends and stores messages encoded into discrete packets composed
of bits assembled by users’ software on their computers. To arrive intact, digital signals carry
messages in the form of binary data, as well as data about that data, which helps define and direct
that information.” Leonard Shyles (2003).
Data Information
Disorderly Organized
Includes words as well as digits
Incorporated processed data
It is independent of information
Depends on Data
Most of the time, the data does not meet the investigator's needs. Information is always
specific to the investigation because useless information is removed from the data collected.
IT - “Information Technology (IT) is the study of skills. The up-to-date world is
categorized according to the fast rate of growth and enhancement or advancements of IT which

as an outcome in more dependence of the society, in a broader way of telling, on the individual
knowledge and capability of a person in the area of IT.” Panwar, S. S. (2020).
IS- “Management support systems are significantly characterized as a management information
system, decision support system, expert system, and accounting information system.” Panwar, S.
S. (2020).
The difference between IT and IS is that IT focuses on the technological aspects, while IS
focuses on the information systems themselves. IT plays an important role in gathering and
analyzing information, while IS focuses on the information already available. The prime asset is
the information but IT is dedicated more to computer software and hardware. In contrast to IT,
Information Systems management is concerned with optimizing systems rather than focusing on
that. Information technology management looks after the maintenance of the hardware.
As a result, researchers are able to quickly acquire accurate and reliable data and use this
data to aid them in future efforts. The management information system can have a great impact
on the developer's performance, roles, and ultimately, efficiency. Management information
systems provide managers with assistance in later phases.
