You will spend the next week answering a series of short questions each day. Do not save this assignment for the last minute, but give the sonnet (you have chosen), 5-10 minutes of your thoughts, each day.

February 17 Thoughts on general structure (type/rhyme scheme) and initial meaning

February 18 Thoughts on words you looked up and connection to meaning.

February 19 Meaning of first structure of poem (quatrain, etc.)

February 20 Meaning of second (quatrain or further observations on first part if octave)

February 21 Meaning of third (sestet, in some cases). What results from the turn/volta?

February 22 Final thoughts on the meaning of whole sonnet, after completing this process.

Due February 23 by class time. Bring a hard copy plus upload to the correct link.
