Question 3

Major ethical concerns arise, mainly when genetic testing on children. In addition, consent and counseling are challenges (Bayefsky & Berkman, 2021). How should a physician balance the rights to protect the interests of children and the right of parents to have the best information possible so they can use such information to provide the best care for their children? Major ethical concerns concerning media use in children include issues such as the vulnerability of children, age verification, and parental consent. In using media, children may be exposed to content that might harm their age and lead to a hostile learning effect (Lally et al., 2020). It is crucial for parents to strictly supervise any connect that their children consume in the media to avoid adverse learning effects.
