First paragraph -- Introduction

- Topic Sentence declaring 3 to 4 different subtopics.

- Thesis declaring the central idea of the essay.

Second paragraph:

a) Write a topic sentence (announcing the first subtopic) b) Support the topic sentence with data, facts, and examples, and explain how they (subtopics) relate to the thesis.

Third paragraph:

a) Write a topic sentence (announcing the second subtopic) b) Support the topic sentence with data, facts, and examples, and explain how they relate to the thesis.

Fourth paragraph

a) Write a topic sentence (announcing the third subtopic) b) Support the topic sentence with data, facts, and examples, and explain with arguments and/or counterarguments how they (subtopics) relate to the thesis.

Fifth Paragraph – Conclusion.

a) Summarize all main ideas from every paragraph reaffirming your thesis c) Add a call to action: what you want readers to do after reading your essay
