Driverless Vehicles Technology
As technology (Ident/tab paragraphs) develops in all the sectors, the transportation sector has proved to have advanced progress in designing driverless vehicles. The idea of coming up with driverless vehicles was to display the vision of how the world would look like in the next 20 years. In consideration of the present used (currently used) cars, there are various automated features that include the braking systems and parking assistance. This depicts (predicts) that the vision of creating self-driving vehicles is possible in the future. The necessary workings on the driverless vehicle are in process with the main purpose of making driving process safer and simpler to use in future. It is recommended that for the perfect transportation that has being desired by most of the people, the use of driverless vehicles will help to accomplish the mission. This paper describes the advantages, future findings about the technology of driverless vehicles.
Driverless vehicle technology has several benefits in that it has greatly increase the level of safety in travelling ("What is an Autonomous Car? – How Self-Driving Cars Work | Synopsys", 2021). Most of the reported road accidents on the roads are because of carelessness of the drivers. Since the self-driving vehicles are not controlled by any human effort, the safety chances are high. Moreover, the use of self-driving vehicles has reduced the congestion of people in one place as they await for one vehicle. Likely, the congestions in one vehicle traveling for long distances is solved since when using the driverless vehicles, there is much comfort. (Are you referring to taxis and buses, which can carry multiple passengers?) Driverless vehicles do not emit used gas and (Are they also electric?) hence this contributes to reduction in air pollution. Moreover, the energy consumption in transportation is reduced by 90% (cite). Self-driven vehicles are suitable to be used by all kind of people including children, the elderly, and the disabled people. (Would these populations be behind the wheel?) This gives the benefit of great options in mobility. Self-driving vehicles are great for effective and reliable travelling. (is this opinion) Technology is constantly developing from time to time. New methods and forms of technology are introduced in the market and the various industries use the forms of technology to develop their products. Likely, the general motors (Do you mean the car company?) will use the developed technology to come up with more advanced driverless vehicles for the transportation sector. This vehicles will continue to improve from time to time and hence their effectiveness will increase. (Generalized and repetitive) Due to the high exposure of the vehicles to the people, the company will have high productivity and profits because of the vehicles. This will lead to the sub-branching of the company to more places to increase the distribution of the driverless vehicles. (Are there specific examples for what you are discussing?) In future, a lot of changes will come up because of the extensive use of driverless vehicles. This will include the fact that only few people will own cars since human drivers require to be paid (Public transportation cars) and a lot of cost for maintenance even for the private cars. Driverless vehicles use electricity and hence this will cost almost nothing to operate. Since the driverless vehicles do not emit any used gasses in the environment, the environment remains clear and suitable for human and wildlife survival. The governments of all the countries are currently trying to fight the issue of air pollution since it brings about a lot of disadvantages such as affecting the health of the people and animals. Contaminated air affects the respiratory system and cause diseases to individuals, therefore, there are high chances that the government will support the use of driverless vehicles to encourage the situation of reducing the air pollution in the country ("Driverless cars: The benefits and what it means for the future of mobility", 2021). This will lead to the official neglect of the human driven vehicles since as opposed to the self-driving vehicles, the cause air pollution. (Rephrase this?)
Moreover, the self-driving vehicle are faster and people have a high chance of getting to their destination at the right time. This will lead to a situation where all the people are interested in travelling using the driverless vehicles leaving the human driven vehicles rarely used. (This has already been said?) There will be a poor market for the human driven vehicles since very few people will be interested in buying them. Due to the improvement of technology all the people will always want to use all the devices which involve the current technology and that will maintain their safety.
The use of driverless vehicles will lead to a future where there will be evolution of urban centers. In the current world, the cities are mostly occupied by the human driven vehicle and reducing the number of pedestrians. (Is this true?) This is because everyone wants to drive and does not want to get tired by walking on the streets. Traffic jams end up causing late arrivals for people since they must wait for the jam to end. This creates a disadvantage to the current method of transportation since it is not effective and safe ("Benefits of Self-Driving Vehicles - Coalition For Future Mobility", 2021). With the use of driverless vehicles, there will be reduction of the traffic jam and there will be enough space left out for the pedestrians to walk through as most people will prefer travelling by bus.
Moreover, self-driving vehicles make it easier for the people to cross the road as compared to the human driven vehicles where an angry individual can cause an accident due to their impatience since they have sensors to detect when a person is crossing. For the parking of driverless vehicles, when they visit an unknown space to map it, they can be accompanied by a remote human supervisor. (Can you give an example of how this works?) Like opposed to driving it as a human would with a wheel, the supervisor almost never does so. Instead, they issue strategic directions, such as pointing to an area of an image and instructing the vehicle to drive there. This evolution in urban centers will be because of driverless vehicles.
For the physically challenged, the driverless vehicles will be more independent. Currently, cars are not friendly since they require a lot of controlling and the elderly and the physically challenged are not able to give the required controlling effectively. Since the self-driving vehicles do not require much, all kind of people are likely to board easily without difficulties. In future, the driverless vehicles will be the only means of transport used by the people due to the numerous supports and benefits it brings about ("4 Ways Self-Driving Cars Will Change Our Lives", 2021). The sensors installed in the vehicles will help in controlling it movement. Likely, a remote human supervisor will monitor the movement of the driverless vehicle and make commands when necessary.
In conclusion, the technology of driverless vehicles is of great impact to the current and future life. The cases of reporting accidents in different places the same day are solved due to the increased level of safety. Moreover, these vehicles help the government in solving the issue of air pollution in the country. The level of treating respiratory diseases will reduce since the source of the problem will be solved. The current situation in urban centers that lead to traffic jams is solved since the driverless vehicles create more space in the streets for pedestrians. Moreover, the people have easy time while crossing the roads as the self-driving vehicles are patient compared to individuals. It is right to say that the driverless vehicles will take a full control of the transportation sector in future since all the people will prefer the safety of their life. Moreover, the only few people will remain to (fewer people will own cars) own cars. In the end, driverless vehicles are suitable to use for transportation compared to the current cars due to the safety of the passengers.
